Stepping Into Your Summer Body

Get ready to be your best you this summer! Make the most out of it by feeling confident in your own body. With a healthy mind and body, this summer will definitely surpass last year’s summer by a mile. Keep reading and we’ll let you in on some fitness and workout ideas, and other easy tips to help you step into your summer body.
- Workout ideas
- You don’t have to go to the gym every day for two hours. Studies have shown that just 30 minutes of moderate-to-high intensity activity a day can make a difference.
- YouTube is a great place to look for workouts if you don’t know where to start. You can always search to accommodate your workout needs (ex. low impact, high intensity, lower body focus, etc.).
- Since the weather is nice, try walking or biking to places rather than driving. Or go on walks or bike rides for fun!
- Healthy Diet
- Make sure you fuel yourself properly! That means eating the right food and eating enough food. Try swapping snacks like chips or candy for veggies & dip or some fruit. When you eat healthy food, you will feel full faster, and the food will actually be beneficial to your body since you aren’t just having empty calories.
- Drink water. There is no specific rule as to how much water you should drink but aim to drink at least 2 litres (65 oz) a day. Water can help flush out toxins, increase energy levels and brain function, relieve headaches and cramps, clear up your skin, help with weight loss, and most importantly, prevent dehydration.
- Be yourself, everybody is different and perfect in their own way.
- Don’t forget to wear sunscreen.
